How BedRug Started
In 1992, founder Jerry Sorensen recognized a problem that every truck owner faced: traditional bed liners were either too hard, too slippery, or didn’t fit properly. Hard plastic liners cracked in cold weather, spray-in liners were permanent and expensive, and rubber mats wore out quickly.
Jerry knew there had to be a better solution. After years of research and development, he invented BedRug’s proprietary closed-cell polypropylene foam material—a revolutionary bed liner that combined the softness of carpet with the durability of industrial-grade plastic.
The first BedRug bed liner was born, and it changed the truck accessory industry forever. What made BedRug different was simple: it was custom-molded to fit each truck perfectly, it was gentle on knees and cargo, and it was 100% waterproof with a lifetime warranty.
