What’s the difference between BedRug Classic and BedRug Impact?
BedRug Classic is our original full carpeted liner — a soft, carpet-like polypropylene surface backed with closed-cell foam. BedRug Impact uses a rugged textured skin over an even thicker foam base, designed for heavier work-truck use where cushion and abrasion resistance matter most. Classic feels like a trunk; Impact feels like a jobsite floor built for abuse.
Can I install BedRug over an existing spray-in liner?
Yes. The BedRug XLT Bed Mat and BedRug Impact Bed Mat are specifically engineered to sit over a spray-in or drop-in liner without lifting or slipping. Full liners like the Classic are best installed directly on a bare bed, but a bed mat gives you cushion and a finished look over any existing liner.

Will BedRug absorb water or hold mildew?
No. BedRug uses marine-grade polypropylene carpet and closed-cell foam — the same class of materials used on boats. Water beads off, rinses out with a garden hose, and the liner air-dries quickly. It won’t rot, mildew, or hold odors like traditional carpet.
Do I need to drill holes in my truck bed to install a BedRug?
No drilling required. BedRug installs with pre-attached hook-and-loop pads that adhere to a clean bed surface, plus use of existing factory tie-down points. Most installs take 20–30 minutes with basic hand tools, and the liner comes out just as easily when you need to haul something oversized.
